Keyboard shortcuts

Open Settings → Keyboard shortcuts to inspect or change global bindings. Mod means Command on macOS and Ctrl on Windows/Linux. Escape and some editor-native bindings are contextual rather than global commands.

Mod+K, Mod+P, or Mod+T Open the command palette
Mod+Shift+D Open Today
Mod+[ / Mod+] Back / forward in navigation history
Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab Next / previous tab
Mod+W Close the active tab
Mod+\ Focus the side panel

  1. Open Settings → Keyboard shortcuts.
  2. Select the command you want to change.
  3. Record the new combination.
  4. Resolve any conflict the settings page reports.

Commands can have multiple bindings. Undo (Mod+Z) and redo (Mod+Shift+Z) are shown for discoverability but are not reassignable.
