Find, outline, and focus mode

Use the configured Find in document shortcut while an editable body is open.

  1. Enter the text to find.
  2. Move to the previous or next match.
  3. Toggle case-sensitive or whole-word matching when needed.
  4. Enter replacement text and replace the current match or all matches.

The match counter reflects the current options. Replacement changes body content and participates in editor undo.

Workspace search is different: it finds Objects and indexed content across the workspace, while this overlay works only in the current body.

Open Outline in the Object details area or use the pinnable outline rail. It lists body headings with their levels. Select an entry to scroll to that heading.

The outline is empty until the body contains heading blocks. Renaming or moving a heading refreshes the outline from the body document.

The outline rail’s Stats tab and the Object’s text-statistics action summarize the current body. Statistics are a view of the content, not stored properties.

Focus mode hides surrounding application chrome and keeps the Object central. Use the configured Toggle focus mode command—mod+. by default—or the available focus control. The compact toolbar provides back, forward, and leave-focus actions.

Focus mode changes presentation only. It does not close tabs or alter the Object.
