Comments and discussions

Comments are discussion threads attached to an Object. A thread can also point to a specific body block.

  1. Open the Object’s Comments panel.
  2. Write a comment in the composer.
  3. Send it to create a thread or reply to an existing thread.

Select or last-click the relevant block, then use the block comment action or configured comment shortcut. The thread records the block anchor. Use Jump to block later to return to its context.

Thread participants can use the actions available to them to:

  • reply and mention collaborators;
  • add reactions;
  • edit or delete their comment;
  • mark a thread read or unread;
  • mute or unmute replies; and
  • resolve or reopen the thread.

Use Show resolved when you need to review completed discussion. Resolving keeps history; it does not delete the thread.

The workspace-wide Discussions view gathers threads by Object and shows the open-thread count. Open a result to return to its Object and, for an anchored thread, its block.

Comments and live cursors are collaboration surfaces, but the Object remains local-first. Shared content and presence follow the sharing configuration for that Object.
