Presentation mode

Your Project’s status update is already a note with headings. Choose Present and Lar turns it into a fullscreen deck on the spot; edit the note afterwards and the next presentation reflects the change.

Structure the deck

Lar derives slides from the body each time you present:

• Headings at levels 1 through 4 start a new slide. Levels 5 and 6 stay on the current slide.
• A divider starts a new slide without a heading. The divider itself isn’t shown.
• Content before the first heading becomes its own slide.
• A slide that contains only headings is centered as a section title.
• If the Object has a title or icon, Lar adds a title slide first.

Slides render text content: headings, paragraphs, quotes, lists, and code. Images, tables, embeds, and other rich blocks don’t appear as they do in the editor, so summarize them in text and preview the deck before you present.

Present an Object

1. Open an Object with a body.
2. Open the ⋯ menu and choose Present, or use the Present shortcut. Check its binding in Settings → Keyboard shortcuts; see Keyboard shortcuts.
3. Move through the deck with the Previous slide and Next slide controls, or with →, Space, or Page Down to go forward and ← or Page Up to go back.
4. Press Esc or choose Exit presentation to return to the Object.

The controls hide after a moment of inactivity and return when you move the pointer or press a key. The presentation is read-only; to change a slide, edit the Object and present again.

Prepare a reliable deck

• Keep one main idea per heading section.
• Use a divider when you need a break without a visible heading.
• Run through the full deck before you share your screen.
