Page and edgeless modes

Page and edgeless are two presentations of the same body document.

  1. Open an Object whose Type has a body.
  2. Open the Object’s More menu.
  3. Select Page or Edgeless.

You can also use the configured toggle shortcut. The choice is stored for that body, so a whiteboard can stay edgeless while ordinary notes remain pages.

  • long-form writing;
  • nested lists and headings;
  • documents that use outline, find, comments, or presentation mode; and
  • predictable reading and export order.
  • spatial brainstorming;
  • arranging text and frames on a canvas;
  • grouping related visual material; and
  • work where position communicates meaning.

Switching modes does not create a second Object or discard its content. Your undo history and collaborative presence stay available.

Some linear-document features make more sense in page mode, and some spatial blocks only make sense in edgeless mode. Return to page mode when you need a clear linear export or slide order.
